The Seraph Chronicles®: Bloodline
The missing link in Man's evolution has long perplexed scientists and theologians alike. While these schools of thought diverge in their interpretation of our origins, neither provides any indisputable evidence to verify their respective suppositions about the first appearance of Man. These theories have persisted nonetheless, and have contributed much to our understanding of creation. Despite abundant speculation, however, no one can say with any degree of certainty when, or where for that matter, human sentience breathed its first. What if we were to discover that the beliefs we have accepted as truth are merely diluted accounts of actual historical facts? What if the first traces of humanity lay not on this planet but in a place and time light years from Earth?
The Seraph Chronicles®: Bloodline, offers a new and creative account of Man's conception that gives readers on either side of the evolutionary debate a new possibility to consider. We humans are not alone in the universe. Diverse lifeforms populate a multi-tiered existence, many of which consider humans rather primitive on the evolutionary ladder. Fortunately, the opposite is true for our novel, which explores the rise of humanity from a species more powerful and ancient than we can imagine.
Bloodline whisks readers to the far reaches of the cosmos to introduce an extraordinary species with 'god-like' powers. Here among this alien race lies an epic tale of power and corruption combined with a richly woven hypothesis on the genesis of Man.
Our journey begins on the blistering planet of Vehlah'Ra, adopted home world to one of the last surviving humanoid species in the physical realm. On the verge of an evolutionary cusp, Vehlah'Rans possess exceptional genetic traits which make them prime targets for the most powerful negative entity in existence, the cloned Non.
In keeping with Non's plans to shift the natural balance of existence, the cloned Non requires a single weapon: the Seraphine. But the Seraphs have been hidden from Non and Its clone for over 1,500 years by the opposing Legions of Light.
Unable to control the Seraphine, the only weapon capable of destroying the cloned Non, and denied the ability to procreate by the Non Originator, the clone Non is forced to effect a contingency plan to breed an army of titans by covertly introducing Its traits into similarly advanced species. After having seeded various bloodlines across countless generations, the clone Non's trials yield a favourable candidate on the planet Vehlah'Ra: Jade Torrin.
Posing as a Vehlah'Ran, and adopting the name Vehrik Corcerron, the clone Non secretly infiltrates the capital city of Athland to assess the potential of Its unsuspecting offspring. Two hundred and fifty years pass before the cloned Originator is satisfied Jade shows promise. By chance, Jade discovers the cloned Non's duplicity earlier than expected, compelling the negative entity to move hastily forward with Its plans. In a race against time to awaken the part of her that is Non, the dark god must wean Jade from the only life she has ever known by placing Vehlah'Ra directly in the path of an ancient enemy - the Rahspith, a primative succubus species that devours both the physical and non-physical elements of entire worlds - all to ensure Its progeny complies with her destiny.
Near the culmination of this final test, the clone Non unexpectedly learns the whereabouts of the Seraphs and hastens to secure them, leaving Jade to face her imminent test alone. Jade successfully meets the challenge but in her victory she is forced to swallow many bitter truths — about herself, her people and, ultimately, the role her humanoid species will play in the brewing future RealmWars™.
